Joseph "Joe" Walker (born February 6, 1987) is an American actor, singer, writer, business man and performer based in Los Angeles. He is best known for this work with American musical theatre company Team StarKid.

Early Life and Education[]

Joe was born in New York, New York. He attended the University of Michigan from 2005 and 2009 and graduated with a BFA in Acting. Following the election of Donald Trump in 2016, Joe chose to leave acting and instead returned to University. He attended the California Polytechnic State University from 2017 to 2019 and graduated as valedictorian with a Master of Business Administration.

Work[]

Joe has featured in the short films Clowns on Earth, OMG and Group alongside featuring in the TV series Underemployed, World's Worst Musical and Chicago Fire. He also featured in a commercial for Mountain Dew

Alongside this, Joe featured in the the Tin Can Brother's musical Spies Are Forever as The Deadliest Man Alive and Richard "Dick" Big. He also featured in a production of Judas Redux: The Last Days of Judas Iscariot as Saint Peter, Pontius Pilate and Uncle Pino. He also served as a freelance Lighting Technician for Kehoe Designs.

Following A Very Potter Sequel, Joe teamed up with Joey Richter to create a promotional web series for Red Vines named Tasty Tests where they attempted to answer the question : Red Vines- what can't they do?

StarKid Productions[]

Joe met the members of what is now StarKid while collaborating on plays through Basement Arts, the university's student-run theatre organization. In 2009, Joe featured as Lord Voldemort in A Very Potter Musical. The show sold out its four performances at UMich. A recorded version of the show that was posted on YouTube for family members to watch went viral. In response to the musicals popularity StarKid Productions was formed with Joe as one of it's founding members.

Joe went on to join the group in A Very Potter Sequel where he featured as Dolores Umbridge. He also reprised his role as Lord Voldemort in A Very Potter Senior Year. Joe went on to feature in six more StarKid musicals as well as featuring in both A Very StarKid Reunion and StarKid Homecoming. He also featured in both The SPACE Tour and Apocalyptour. Alongside this, Joe featured in the StarKid sketch shows 1Night 2Last 3EVER, Airport for Birds and Yes, I Am Afraid Of The Dark!.

Joe also worked as the writer and production associate for the musical Starship.

Personal Life[]

Joe currently resides in Los Angeles alongside his wife Traci and his dog Garnet. The couple met after being introducing following a production of Holy Musical B@man!. They became engaged in July 2019 and were married in June 2020.
